SOUTHGATE — A man reported Oct. 26 that that his 2003 Ford F-250, which was parked in an apartment complex lot on Lowell Street, was damaged during an unsuccessful theft attempt.

The vehicle had been parked for months with a disconnected battery. In an attempt to steal the pickup, the driver’s door and lock were damaged, as was the ignition.

No items were stolen from the vehicle. There were no suspects.
