RIVERVIEW — A 35-year-old Riverview woman was arrested for drunken driving the morning of Oct. 17 after she drove her vehicle over the curb and onto the sidewalk at Kings Forest Apartments.

The woman, who said she took the turn too fast, smelled of intoxicants, had slurred speech, and had watery, glossy eyes.

She failed standardized field sobriety tests. A preliminary breath test was administered, and the woman had a blood-alcohol content of 0.19, higher than the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan.

Her vehicle was impounded and towed, and she was taken to the police station, where she was booked and held.
