LINCOLN PARK — A woman reported Aug. 3 that her debit card was fraudulently accessed July 20 and two unauthorized transfers occurred.

The victim said she was attempting to set up an account on Vinted, an online marketplace for selling second-hand clothing, accessories and home goods, when a company reached out to her online to ask for authorization based on an online shopping request.

She said after she provided authorization, she received an immediate fraud warning for two transactions on her debit card account. A representative from her financial institution helped her cancel her card.
