SOUTHGATE — A man who had been banned from Comfort Suites, 18950 Northline Road, on Sept. 11 returned the night of Sept. 16 and was trying to use an electrical outlet behind the hotel to charge his cell phone.

The man, who has had multiple contacts with local police officers, was taken into custody and charged with trespassing. He was then taken to the police station, where he was booked and held.
