SOUTHGATE — The victim of a hit-and-run crash at 12:15 p.m. Aug. 19 on Eureka Road near Windermere Street left the site of the incident in their GMC Hummer, but was recorded on a dash cam.

A UPS driver who witnessed the crash between the Hummer and a Ford F-150, and who captured footage on their dash cam, followed the fleeing driver to Eureka Farm Market, 14601 Eureka. The UPS driver talked to the suspect, who said they would not return to the scene. The UPS driver subsequently provided information to police officers.

Another witness said that an unknown vehicle cut off the Hummer, which caused it to come to a sudden stop on Eureka, at which time the driver of the Ford F-150 rear-ended the Hummer.
