HEIGHTS — A gray 2016 Hyundai Elantra that was reported stolen the morning of Aug. 20 from the driveway of a residence on Hazelton Street was later found abandoned in Detroit with damage to its ignition.
The vehicle had been locked, and was stolen without its keys. There were no nearby surveillance cameras, but a neighbor saw a dark purple sedan and a black sport utility vehicle pull up nearby earlier that morning, and a man emerged from the black SUV with his face covered. Shortly afterward, the two vehicles plus the stolen Elantra drove off northbound on Hazelton Street.
