DEARBORN HEIGHTS — Joyce Johnson, 46, of Dearborn Heights was fatally shot the morning of Aug. 25 by her boyfriend, Sean Parnell Walker, Jr., 35, of Detroit, at a residence in the 5400 block of Huron Street.
Walker was out on bond for a prior felonious assault charge.
Police officers responded to the house for a reported home invasion, and found Johnson in a bedroom, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
Walker was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his face, and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
He was charged with first degree premeditated murder, felony murder, first degree home invasion, unlawful imprisonment, felonious assault, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and felony firearm.
