DEARBORN — A man who stole items from Dollar General, 7630 Wyoming the morning of July 19 was arrested for retail fraud and for having an open intoxicant in public was arrested after a police department drone tracked him until police officers took him into custody.

The man concealed merchandise in his backpack and on his person while in the store, then left without rendering payment.

When police officers approached him, he was drinking from a can of stolen liquor, and admitting to stealing items from Dollar General. Store personnel wished to press charges, and asked that he be banned from the store.

A record check revealed that he had multiple prior convictions for retail fraud within the city of Dearborn.
