ALLEN PARK — The owner of a Ford Expedition said his locked vehicle was rummaged through in the parking lot of the Comfort Inn, 3600 Enterprise Drive, with the vehicle’s owner’s manual and the black plastic cover for the car’s paperwork stolen.

The proof of insurance and registration documents were not stolen, and other items of significant value remained untouched inside the vehicle, which was not damaged.

The hotel’s surveillance cameras, which were low resolution and located at a significant distance away, did not provide any relevant footage.
