SOUTHGATE — A man who became uncooperative with police officers the night of July 28 was cited for jaywalking across Dix-Toledo Road near Birrell Street.
Two police officers who were on patrol spotted a man and woman standing in a Dix-Toledo left-turn lane before walking east across all lanes of traffic toward Birrell without using a crosswalk.
The woman provided identification, but the man repeatedly refused to cooperate until he was handcuffed, at which time he provided his name and date of birth. Once the information was verified in the Law Enforcement Information System, he was cited and released.
