WYANDOTTE — A woman’s former boyfriend, a 35-year-old Detroit man, broke into her residence in the 4700 block of Quarry Road the morning of July 4 while brandishing a firearm and threatening and assaulting her.
Observant neighbors called 911 and when a police officer arrived the man attempted to flee on foot. The officer gave chase and was able to catch and arrest the man.
The gun was recovered, and the man was charged with home invasion and felony firearm.
