ALLEN PARK — A 65-year-old Allen Park woman reported that her blue 2003 Jeep Liberty was stolen from the parking lot in her apartment complex while she tried to prevent the theft.
The woman said a young Black male wearing a black hoodie and a black mask used a screwdriver to force open the door, then entered the vehicle and locked the door while she tried to open it. The man then started the vehicle and drove off north on Pelham Road.
A sky blue 1978 Schwinn bicycle was inside the Jeep when it was stolen.
Police officers searched the area but were unable to find the vehicle, which was entered into the Law Enforcement Information Network as stolen.
