ALLEN PARK — A woman reported that $4,986 was stolen from her credit union bank account April 6 and used to purchase crypto-currency, and on May 8, $3,000 was illegally withdrawn from another account and used to pay off a Walmart credit card.

She said her credit union told her to fill out a police report prior to them launching an investigation.
