RIVERVIEW — A 30-year-old Brighton man was cited for driving with a suspended license May 3 when a police officer saw him blow through a stop sign at Pennsylvania Road and Electric Avenue without coming to a complete stop.

The man said that although he has a pending court case, he didn’t think that his license had been suspended. He was told to bring any proof to support his claim to the court house to get his driver’s license status verified.

He was able to call a fellow employee to come pick up the work van, and was warned that if he tried to drive it without a valid license, he could be arrested.
