RIVERVIEW — A 25-year-old Riverview woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated the night of Dec. 27 after she crashed into a parked car on Koester Avenue.

The responding police officer could smell intoxicants emanating from the woman, who had bloodshot, glossy eyes and whose speech was slow and drawn out. She denied having had any alcohol earlier.

The woman failed standardized field sobriety tests. A preliminary breath test was administered, and the woman had a blood-alcohol content of 0.094, higher than the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan.

She was taken into custody, and her vehicle was impounded and towed.
