Violinist Joseph Deller
Accompanied by cellist Ivana Biliskov and pianist Patrick Johnson
DEARBORN — Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church will feature violinist Joseph Deller at the first performance of the 2026 “Music at Cherry Hill” concert series at 4 p.m. Feb. 1.
Well known as a long-time member of the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra and certified Suzuki violin teacher in Dearborn, Deller has performed with the Detroit Opera Orchestra, International Symphony Orchestra and several local symphonies throughout Michigan.
Accompanying Deller in this hour-long concert will be cellist Ivana Biliskov and pianist Patrick Johnson. The program will feature Prokofiev’s “Five Melodies” for violin and piano and selected movements from the violin sonatas of J.S. Bach. The musicians also will join together for Saint-Saëns’ “Piano Trio in E minor.”
“This concert is a wonderful way to chase away the winter blahs,” said Charles Miller, the church’s director of music. “The rich sounds of the violin, cello, and church’s Bösendorfer imperial grand piano, along with the church’s near-perfect acoustics, will lift heart and soul.”
The concert is open to the public. Although tickets are not being sold, suggested donations of $15 per person will be welcomed at the doors.
Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church is at 24110 Cherry Hill Road. Parking is available in the church parking lot. An accessible entrance is available on Drexel Street, west of the church sanctuary.
