RIVERVIEW — A 20-year-old Detroit woman was cited for driving without a valid license and for lacking car insurance following a traffic stop for speeding on Quarry Road.

The woman, who was driving 36 mph in a 25-mph zone, had no rear bumper and was missing a right taillight cover.

The driver had no identification with her, and when she learned her vehicle would be towed for lacking insurance, she became irate, swearing and refusing to exit the vehicle. She said she wanted to get a licensed relative to pick up the vehicle from the location, but the officer said that because the car was not insured that was not an option.

When a tow truck arrived on the scene the woman exited the vehicle, and was last seen walking south along Quarry Road as she released a verbal string of profanity.
