MELVINDALE — An employee at an automotive fabrication shop reported a situation Dec. 9 involving customer intimidation and the theft of two sets of vehicle keys.

The complainant said he worked on a customer’s car twice – the second time for free – but they returned to the shop Dec. 8 and demanded he fix the vehicle again at no charge.

He said that shortly after the customer left, he discovered that the keys to a Dodge Charger and a Dodge Ram were missing.

The complainant said on Dec. 9 a friend of the customer went to the shop and said he would throw the keys in the river unless they paid his friend $1,200. The victim said he is afraid the vehicles will be stolen using the keys.

He was advised to call police officers immediately if either of the men return.
