MELVINDALE — Seven kittens were found on the morning of Oct. 8 in a garage in the 2500 block of Emily Avenue near the body of their deceased mother.
The resident had captured two of the kittens, and the responding officer used a net and carrier to capture and retain the remaining kittens, which were taken to a pet care clinic in Lincoln Park for evaluation.
Several days later the kittens were reportedly doing well and would soon be ready to be placed in homes.
