ALLEN PARK — A woman who entered Target, filled a bag with more than $659 in merchandise, then left without rendering payment and stored the items in her vehicle, re-entered the store to process a return for a blender stolen from a different Target location.
The woman then put several Stanley cups into a bag and left the store without paying for them, after which she was detained by loss prevention personnel.
She was then taken into custody by police officers and transported to the Allen Park police station, where she was booked, processed and cited for retail fraud.
Her vehicle was searched, and the stolen merchandise in it returned to Target before the vehicle was impounded and towed.
The stolen items recovered included sporting goods, cleaning products, kitchen supplies, home goods and clothing.
