TAYLOR — A 28-year-old Taylor woman was taken into custody Sept. 22 for domestic assault and battery and placed in a detox cell due to her aggressive behavior after she called in a complaint against her 27-year-old boyfriend, with whom she has two children, whom she allegedly attacked.
Police officers had been at the residence earlier for an altercation between the couple.
After police officers left the first time, the woman reignited the argument by throwing a cologne bottle at her boyfriend, spilling cologne on his pants and breaking a coffee table when the bottle bounced off his leg. When the man tried to leave the residence, she grabbed the front of his shirt to prevent his from leaving, scratching him in the process.
The woman then called 911, and police officers responded a second time. The man told his version of events, but the woman alternately yelled or refused to speak. The woman had active arrest warrants with the Taylor Police Department.
She was then taken into custody and put in the back of a patrol car, where she tried to kick a window out while yelling obscenities.
The man declined to press domestic violence charges.
