RIVERVIEW — A 34-year-old Wyandotte woman was arrested the night of Sept. 24 for operating under the influence of alcohol after a police officer saw her weaving between lanes while driving on both Fort Street and Pennsylvania Road.
A traffic stop was initiated, and the woman smelled of intoxicants, and her eyes were watery and glossy.
She failed multiple standardized field sobriety tests, and refused to take a preliminary breath test. She was then taken into custody, and her vehicle was impounded and towed.
At the Riverview police station, she consented to a preliminary breath test. The woman had a blood-alcohol content of 0.152, nearly twice the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan. She was cited for OWI and refusing a PBT, and held until sober.
