RIVERVIEW — A 30-year-old Taylor woman who was reportedly passed out behind the wheel at a gas station Aug. 6 with a child in the back seat was subsequently arrested for operating under the influence and for child endangerment.
The woman, who smelled of intoxicants, failed the physical standardized field sobriety tests and was unable to properly perform a preliminary breath test.
Custody of the child was transferred to another relative, and the woman was taken into custody. She consented to a blood draw, and was taken to a nearby hospital for the procedure.
A search of her vehicle, which was later impounded and towed, revealed two bottles of vodka, marijuana, and cocaine residue in straws.
