SOUTHGATE — Police officers were called to the 13000 block of Brest Street the evening of June 29 to mediate a dispute between neighbors after a man removed a panel of fencing that his neighbor attached to a section of existing chain link fence that divides his property from her land.

The woman wanted to document that her neighbor removed the section of new fencing. The man contended that the section of fencing attached to the existing chain link fence did not comply with city code regulations.

The responding police officer said he would contact the city ordinance officer to resolve the issue.
