LINCOLN PARK — A stolen GMC vehicle was located in Ecorse April 7 after its GPS tracking feature was deployed.
The vehicle was left unlocked with the spare key in the glove box.
The rearview mirror, which contains the tracking device, was removed but left in the vehicle.
A wallet containing a driver’s license, Social Security card and other cards was missing from the vehicle, as was the spare key.
The owner was able to drive the vehicle away from the location where it was abandoned.
