HEIGHTS — The rear driver’s side window of a black 2010 Dodge Caravan was smashed the night of June 22 in the 3900 block of Monroe Boulevard in a thwarted attempt to steal an air compressor.

The victim, who was not home at the time, received a call from a neighbor that their minivan window had been broken.

Police officers had an evidence technician dust for prints and search for possible blood drops near the broken window, but were unable to find any evidence pointing to a possible suspect.

Neighboring houses were checked for the presence of surveillance cameras.

The victim was given a police report number to forward to their insurance company.
