RIVERVIEW — A blue Jansports Ascent backpack containing a checkbook, office supplies, a Lenovo laptop and an Apple iPad was reported stolen June 8 from a vehicle parked in front of a residence on Valade Street.
The victim said she was unsure if her vehicle was locked.
She said she was contacted by Wyandotte police who said a person had turned in her backpack.
The woman said her iPad was pinging at a given location, which was shared with police officials.
