Possible murder suicide in city’s south end
HEIGHTS – Police discovered two dead bodies in a home in the city’s south end while executing a wellness check April 9.
About 2:30 p.m., police responded to a request to conduct a wellness check at a home in the 3900 block of Williams Street. During their investigation, they discovered a 60-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman, both dead from gunshot wounds in an apparent murder suicide.
City officials believe the pair were dating, and that the man shot the woman before taking his own life.
The investigation is still ongoing, but police believe this was an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public.
