RIVERVIEW — A 55-year-old Riverview woman was tricked into purchasing $3,400 in gift cards between Feb. 24 and March 1 that were to be given to teachers at a parochial school after receiving emails from a person she thought was the priest at her parish.
She later discovered that her priest had never contacted her to request gift cards, and the balances on the cards had already been spent.
