TAYLOR — A 35-year-old Detroit woman who is 10 weeks pregnant was assaulted by her 36-year-old boyfriend, a Taylor resident, who was upset that she had stayed at her brother’s residence for the two previous days.
The man allegedly demanded that she go and get her possessions, and when she arrived, physically assaulted her by strangling her and slamming her body on the couch and the floor.
The victim said he had assaulted her in the past.
She was treated at a local hospital, given information about resources for victims of domestic assault, and advised on the steps to needed to press charges.
