WYANDOTTE — A routine traffic stop on the night of Jan. 8 for an uninsured vehicle led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Dearborn man for possession of dangerous drugs and his passenger, a 38-year-old Detroit man, for obstruction after he supplied a false name to officers in an attempt to avoid being arrested for outstanding arrest warrants.

Police officers found several unopened packages of Suboxone in the vehicle, as well as other pills classified as controlled substances, for which no proof of prescription could be produced.

The vehicle was impounded and towed, and both men were taken into custody.
