WYANDOTTE — A 43-year-old Wyandotte man was charged with shoplifting the night of Oct. 30 after he and his minor son stole items from a convenience store in the 500 block of Goddard Road.

An employee pursued them as they ran to their car, and the man sped off before his son even had his vehicle door closed.

The store’s surveillance cameras captured the theft, and the man was easy to identify, since he’d recently been booked for another matter at the Wyandotte police station. The father was quickly found and charged.
