SOUTHGATE — A resident of an apartment complex in the 16000 block of Quarry Road said that when his management company complained Oct. 25 about his rent not getting paid, he discovered that three money orders he submitted for a total of $1,300 went missing Sept. 1 when the management office was burglarized.
Further investigation revealed that an unauthorized person had cashed the rent money orders. The victim had the receipts, and was in the process of getting a refund and needed a police report to support his claim.
