SOUTHGATE — A man who had moved out of an apartment but whose lease was good through the end of October reported Oct. 27 that sports cards valued at $500, three clear vases valued at $100, and clothing with a $100 value had been removed from the apartment.

He said a key had been used to enter the apartment, and there were no visible signs of forced entry. The door had been left unlocked, and some of the furniture still in the apartment had been rearranged.

The victim said that since he discovered the theft on a weekend, he would have to wait until a weekday to discuss the situation with the management company.
