DEARBORN — Emmy Award-winning actor Chazz Palminteri, who performed his one-man play “A Bronx Tale” at the Fisher Theater Sept. 28, dined at Roman Village Cucina Italiana following the show.

Palminteri was invited by Patrick Rugiero, executive director of Roman Village Restaurant Group, who himself was a guest of Palminteri’s at the Fisher production.

“It was another amazing performance by Chazz and an honor to have him once again join us at the restaurant for dinner while he was in town” Rugiero said.

Rugiero said Palminteri ordered his favorite dish, classic Spaghetti Agio e Olio (garlic and olive oil) with Anchovies, “just like he did when he came to our restaurant the first time 15 years ago after performing at the Fisher Theater in 2009.” He also ordered Chicken Parmesan, and said it was the best he’s had on his tour.

“A Bronx Tale” is an autobiographical play written by and starring Palminteri depicting his bruising childhood, which included witnessing a gangland killing when he was 9 years old. Palminteri plays 18 characters in the play.

Palminteri has appeared in more than 60 films — including “The Usual Suspects,” “Analyze This,” “Mullholland Falls,” “Legend” and “Bullets over Broadway,” for which he was nominated for an Academy Award. He also starred in more than 20 television series — including “Modern Family,” “Law & Order,” “Godfather of Harlem” and “Gravesend” — and has won three Emmy Awards.
