TRENTON — A man reported Sept. 27 that he received a phone call three weeks earlier claiming that a law firm was going to take money from his bank account to satisfy a PayPal debt, which he said he hadn’t incurred.

He said the caller recited his Social Security number to him over the phone.

The man said he called his bank and attached additional security measures to his accounts to prevent any attempts at fraudulent withdrawals.

He said he has not lost any money to the fraudster, but is concerned that they have his Social Security number.
