TAYLOR — A 57-year-old Lincoln Park woman was charged with her third drunken driving offense and driving without a valid license at 12:15 a.m. Sept. 13 at Ecorse and Pelham roads.

A witness said he saw the woman leave a bar on Ecorse Road and hit a nearby utility pole. The witness said the driver then drove off at a high rate of speed before crashing into the rear of another driver’s vehicle.

When police officers arrived at the scene, the woman, whose speech was slurred and whose eyes were glossy and bloodshot, was bleeding from a head laceration, and was taken to a nearby hospital, where evidentiary blood was drawn based on a search warrant.
