MELVINDALE — The owner of Parts and Labor Bar, 17993 Allen Road, reported Aug. 27 that a regular patron who had upset people in the parking lot on Aug. 26 threatened him by phone after being banned from the bar.

He said the 67-year-old Dearborn Heights man called him at the bar and said he knew a bunch of Michigan State Police troopers, and implied that he would have the bar shut down due to his being banned.

The bar owner said he wanted to document the threat, and was advised to call for a police response if the man returned to the bar.
