RIVERVIEW — A Riverview man’s black and yellow DeWalt toolbox that was reported stolen July 28 when his vehicle was broken into at his apartment complex was discovered a day later, on July 29, during a routine traffic stop for an uninsured and unregistered vehicle without a license plate.

A search of the vehicle also revealed a box full of loose change, an empty Gucci purse and an empty Versace sunglass case.

The driver, a Lincoln Park man, had active arrest warrants out of Southgate, Allen Park and Ecorse. He kept changing his explanation for being in possession of the tool box, as well as for how long he had owned the vehicle.

Also found in the car were a vitamin D prescription pill bottle containing approximately 50 pills with two different dosages of Adderall.

The driver was charged with possession of dangerous drugs, possessing stolen property, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving an uninsured vehicle.
