RIVERVIEW — A 51-year-old Ecorse woman with a suspended driver’s license was cited for operating without a license, running a red light and for using her cell phone while driving the night of July 18 on Quarry Road near Pennsylvania Road.

The woman said the car belonged to her daughter, and she didn’t know if it was insured. The Law Enforcement Information Network showed the vehicle was registered but not insured. It was subsequently impounded and towed. The metal license plate was confiscated and destroyed, and a paper plate was issued.

The driver had four prior citations for driving while her license was suspended.
