Driver ignoring construction barricades busted

MELVINDALE — A Detroit man was cited the night of July 18 for driving around the “road closed to through traffic” barricades on Greenfield Road at Allen Road and driving into an active construction zone.

A traffic stop determined that the man didn’t have a driver’s license or insurance, that his paper license plate was a fake, and that he had no vehicle registration. The man had a vehicle title, but he had never transferred it to his name at the time of sale, as is required by law. His vehicle was impounded and towed.
