ALLEN PARK — A woman reported the afternoon of May 15 that she received a telephone call allegedly from her financial institution claiming that money from her account was being funneled to a terrorist organization and that she was under investigation by the FBI.

The initial caller, who had an east Indian accent, supposedly transferred her to an FBI agent, who asked her for her Social Security number, which made her suspicious, so she hung up.

The woman then called her financial institution, who locked her account so no one could access it. She said she was not out any money, and she did not give her SSN to anyone.
