MELVINDALE — Police officers recovered shell casings the afternoon of April 19 from the intersection of Hanna and Coleman streets after receiving reports of a shooting.

Witnesses supplied police officers with videos and photos of the people involved, who were in a physical fight on Roycroft Avenue near Hanna Street prior to the shooting.

Two of the people involved, a black man and woman, fled in a silver Chevy Equinox.  The other couple, also a black man and woman, left in a black Nissan vehicle with out-of-state plates.

The Nissan was followed by the Equinox, which reportedly shot multiple rounds at the Nissan at the Hanna and Coleman intersection before both vehicles fled the area.

The four subjects are still at large. Anyone with information is asked to call the Melvindale Police Department.
