WYANDOTTE — Two Ohio men were captured following a foot chase with police officers the afternoon on May 2 after they attempted to steal $874 worth of liquor from a store in the 2800 block of Fort Street.
The 28- and 34-year-old men filled a shopping cart with liquor, then pushed it out the door without rendering payment. An employee who followed the thieves while calling police was attacked by the fleeing felons.
When police officers arrived, the men split up and attempted to flee on foot, but both were outrun and arrested.
