HEIGHTS — A 38-year-old man reported April 25 that he received an alert on his phone from his credit card company that an unauthorized $500 had been charged to his Quicksilver Capitol One credit card.
After quickly responding to the alert, a subsequent charge of $560 made at the same location was denied.
The victim was still in possession of his credit card, which he canceled. He was then given a case number for the initial unauthorized transaction to pass on to his credit card company.
