TAYLOR — A 53-year-old Taylor man confessed April 12 to embezzling $2,961 from O’Reilly Auto Parts, 13224 Telegraph Road, by processing fraudulent returns over the past five months.
A loss prevention employee said the embezzler had processed 50 fraudulent returns for past purchases for items that were not actually returned.
The man wrote out a confession and was fired. A receipt for each fraudulent refund was provided to police officers. Store personnel indicated that they wished to press charges.
