DEARBORN — A 35-year-old Dearborn Heights woman was cited for reckless driving the afternoon of April 12 after she drove her black 2024 Chevy Trax over a curb, through one fence, into a set of bleachers and through another fence before stopping in the middle of a baseball field in the area of Maple Street and Hemlock Avenue.

The woman, who was not injured, said she was eastbound on Hemlock Avenue approaching Maple Street when her GPS told her to turn north; however, one must turn south to drive onto Maple Street.

Her vehicle was rendered undrivable, and it was impounded and towed. She was advised to contact 19th District Court for an appearance date within 14 days.
