RIVERVIEW — A 26-year-old Brownstown Township man on a motorcycle who was reportedly yelling threats at the mother of his child was arrested the night of April 14 for operating under the influence of alcohol.
The man was yelling at a woman in a residence on Valade Street while astride a red motorcycle, after which he left the area.
A police officer spotted a red Honda VT750CDB at a nearby gas station, then spotted a man approaching the motorcycle while talking on his cell phone.
When approached, the man identified himself and produced his driver’s license.
He smelled of intoxicants, his words were slurred, his eyes were bloodshot and glossy, and he failed multiple standardized field sobriety tests.
A preliminary breath test was administered, and the man had a blood-alcohol content of 0.178, more than twice 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan.
He was taken into custody, and the motorcycle was impounded and towed.
