ALLEN PARK — The driver of a dark-colored SUV, possibly a Jeep, fled the scene of a hit-and-run March 31 on northbound Southfield Road near Luana Avenue.

The victim, who was driving a black 2024 Ford Expedition, said he was stopped at a red light when the left rear corner of his vehicle was struck. He pulled off into a nearby store parking lot, expecting the other vehicle to follow, but the other driver left the area, driving north on the Southfield Freeway.

The victim then drove to the Allen Park Police Department to file a report. Minor damage to the driver’s side rear bumper was observed.
