ALLEN PARK — A woman with three children in her car was later apprehended after fleeing a hit-and-run crash the evening of March 14 on northbound Southfield Road near Enterprise Drive.

A police officer who witnessed the incident stopped to render aid to the victim, who was in a gray 2008 Pontiac G6.

A passerby called in the license plate number of the hit-and-run vehicle, a gray 2012 Ford Focus, which was later located and stopped by police officers on Outer Drive near Fairlane Drive.

Because her car was drivable and she had her three children in the car, the woman was cited and released at the scene.
